The lengthiest part of the steel sheds assembly process is putting down the foundation! The first thing you should do after receiving your steel sheds kit is lay out all your materials in the order of assembly and check them against the shipping invoice to confirm that you have received everything you need. You can then begin laying the concrete foundation, but be sure that the spot you have chosen for your steel shed is graded and level! Your foundation can be either a full concrete slab or square concrete pads placed at each of the building corners; each will do an adequate job of supporting your steel shed. Next, erect your shed's steel support columns into the anchor bolts that have been embedded into the concrete pads or foundation and attach the rafters to the columns. After the rafters are in place, fasten the roof purlins and wall girts that support the rafters and wall sheeting, then frame any door and window openings. Next, attach your cable bracing and install the doors and windows.
